Organization

The programs and activities of the American College of Dentists, including the process for nominating and reviewing candidates for Fellowship, are implemented through the efforts of Fellows, Sections, Regencies, the Board of Regents, and the staff. The general organizational structure of the College, depicted in the chart below, includes local (Section), regional (Regency), governing (Board of Regents), administrative, and committee elements. National activities and governance are managed through the Executive Office in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The responsibilities and composition of the Board of Regents and all appointed groups are described in the Bylaws.
